Good Night to 2013

Source

Good-Night

Good-night? ah! no; the hour is ill
Which severs those it should unite;
Let us remain together still,
Then it will be good night.

How can I call the lone night good,
Though thy sweet wishes wing its flight?
Be it not said, thought, understood—
Then it will be—good night.

To hearts which near each other move
From evening close to morning light,
The night is good; because, my love,
They never say good-night.

Merry Christmas!

Moonless darkness stands between.
Past, the Past, no more be seen!
But the Bethlehem star may lead me
To the sight of Him Who freed me
From the self that I have been.
Make me pure, Lord: Thou art Holy;
Make me meek, Lord: Thou wert lowly;
Now beginning, and always,
Now begin, on Christmas day.

Extended Break (Obviously)

Hi all! I know I've neglected the place, but life is pretty busy and hectic right now. Kids, Christmas, homeschooling, cooking, exercise, etc. So, I've decided to take an extended break from blogging. You can still find me on twitter, https://twitter.com/_thehellwithit, where I post more often.

A quick catch-up:

Kids:  two kiddos are growing, and learning. Daughter is writing her letters really well, starting to learn to read, and learning addition. Son is a ball of energy who just doesn't stop moving, ever. (See why I have no time? Haha)

Advent/Christmas: We're following along with Holy Heroes Advent Adventure, and doing our own Jesse Tree. Lots of good stuff happening there.

Homeschooling: We're still figuring it out as we go, and I'm learning my strengths as a "teacher", and more importantly, my weaknesses (Who knew that short and long vowels would be my down fall? Sometimes I feel stupid!).

Cooking: Right now, I'm cooking a bit more because a friend is having her fourth baby next week, and I'm prepping some freezer casseroles for her and her family.

Exercise: This is going slower than I would have liked (only down 3 pounds in a month), but the difference I'm noticing is in the inches I'm losing. I'm feeling better about myself in general though, and noticing differences in my mood as well.

Other than all that, we're just staying busy with life and play and all that jazz. I hope you are all well, and I keep you in my prayers. God bless you!
