3 1/2 Time-Outs Tuesday

1. I just realized I've been typing out 3 1/2 Time-Out Tuesdays. Which makes no sense.

2. I'm getting used to getting up at 6 a.m. this Lent; getting better at not hitting the snooze button on my phone alarm; settling in my office for morning prayer and reflective reading on the Scriptures of the day and book reading. It's becoming a fruitful habit, and I've thankfully only missed one morning.

3. My excuse on that one morning was because my boy had been throwing up the day before (starting before 6 a.m.) and I was pretty much wiped.

3.5 This is a similar version of my ringtone alarm to get up to, effective yet not annoying enough to make me want to throw my phone across the room:

  1. I think you get a pass for puking kids. I'm not an authority by any means, but I'm kinda hoping that's the way it works.

My hat's off to you for getting up that early and for sticking with it. Good for you!

    1. Yeah, if moms don't get a pass for puking kids, then I'm not working off as much time in purgatory as I thought. ;-)

  2. I liked your comment about dreaming of picaken. I've been dreaming of it too. Sweet sweet picaken. If you make one, you'll have to report about it.

  4. Hey, on your #1 - I read it and immediately thought, "Tuesdays, isn't that right? Isn't that what I've been writing also??" Turns out no, but way to freak me about it ;)

  5. LOL you're welcome. When I was grabbing the pic from AOA, I thought, I've been writing this wrong. My head's just not with it today.

    1. Right - because it's not 3-1/2 Tuesdays...it's 3-1/2 Time-outs.

But I know how you feel. Most days my head's just waking up when my body has already washed the lunch dishes...
